......Brown currently attends Strayer University, Fairview Park, Ohio. She's pursuing a Master's Degree in Public Administration and Manangement in Public Policy.......    

 

 Kimberly Faith Brown is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College, The Ohio School of Broadcasting and Hondros College. (She has also taken continuing education courses at Cleveland State University and Cuyahoga Valley Career Institute.  Brown began her career as a communications and criminal justice major. While at BW, Brown interned at radio station WZAK 93.1FM in Cleveland, Ohio as a research assistant for “Urban Spotlight”, a community talk program. Upon graduation, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree and worked at the Murtis H. Taylor Multi Services Center as a licensed social worker. Simultaneously, Brown attended the Ohio School of Broadcasting where she earned her FCC license in radio broadcasting. As Brown mastered her communication skills, she worked for the Murtis H. Taylor Multi Services Center, Berea Children’s Home as a Program Manager for the Youth Violence Prevention Program, Harambee Services for Black Families as the Director of Marketing & Development, Director of Marketing for Sterling Oaks Retirement Center, American Life Insurance, User Friendly Phone Book, Beech Brook and the Cleveland Monitor newspaper as a special reporter. Brown has been an active board member of One Church One Child, The Glenville Collaborative Alliance, Young Ladies on the Move , Co-Chair for Safe Night USA and Kym Sellers MS Foundation initial planning committee . Due to Brown’s longevity in social work, many have attributed her ideas, creative input and hard work in shaping major social service programs in Cuyahoga County.

  Brown also has extensive relations with corporate sales, public relations, marketing and political campaigns. Brown worked on the campaign of former Mayor Michael R. White, Judge Lauren Moore Siggers, served as a ward captain for the Honorable Jane L. Campbell, Campaign Manager for Bill Patmon and Poll Driver/Door to Door Solicitor/Voter Registration for President Barack Obama.

  Brown spent eight-teen years in radio as an on air talent. She has worked for radio stations 1260am, WMIH, WRDZ, WJTB 1040am all of which are located in Northeast, Ohio and WCDT 1340am Gospel-Across America a syndicated gospel program which airs throughout Nashville Tennesee.  As an on-air radio personality and talk show host, Brown was most known as the “Dove” – being a witness for the Lord outside the walls of the church. In the mid 90s’, Brown was awarded Gospel Radio Personality of the year for Northeast Ohio by Taller Works Productions. As a local celebrity, Brown used her status to stay connected to neighborhood issues and aid in providing resources to the general community. In 2005, Brown shared the platform with Mayor William Grayson of Elyria as she hosted their annual Martin Luther King Celebration. Brown also assisted many churches and youth groups with fundraising activities.  Brown has been extremely instrumental with aiding in the developmental component of attaining sponsorships and guiding the marketing/promotions team with securing National Gospel Entertainment to the spiritual community. Because of her charismatic personality, she has shared the stage in front of thousands -  with many national recording artists like Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, Men of Standard, Yolanda Adams, The Williams Brothers, Shekinah Glory Ministry, Lee Ann Faine, Melba Moore, Rev. John P. Kee, The Canton Spirituals and others as she served as mistress of ceremony.  Brown was surely an ACTIVE COMMUNITY VOICE! 

   As a Poet and Motivational Speaker, Brown focuses on children who are in foster care and those awaiting adoption. She’s an advocate for all waiting children. Brown is the author of the books “Portrait of a Waiting Child”, The 10 Step Training Manual “How to Successfully Recruit Foster Care Providers on a Limited Budget”, “Saving America’s Urban Cities”, And Still, "They Wait" and the forthcoming novel “Outraged in America-When Terror Knocks“.

   Under her own organization, Peace Be Still Affiliates Inc, Brown originated and sponsored the Annual Battle of the Celebrity Bowlers Benefit. The benefit raised community awareness of the foster care child welfare system as well as raised money to support Local Northeast, Ohio Agencies. Financial recipients included: Harambee Services, Parmadale, St. Martin De Porres, the Phyllis Wheatley Center, Teen Start Program and others.    Brown’s professional career, outstanding community visibility and overall concern for the entire region - as well as her countless efforts to be “a heard voice” in the community has earned her many awards: Outstanding Professional African American Leader-Cleveland Life Magazine, Keynote Speaker – National Council of Negro Women, Women and Men in Business Leadership Award – WMIB Productions, Kwanza Highlight 2005 – "A Woman Determined" - Cleveland Plain Dealer, Phenomenal Women Foundation Inductee, “Women History Month” – Cleveland Public Library, North Coast Combined Federal Campaign 08’ Outstanding Community Volunteer Leadership Award of which she helped to secure over two million dollars in donations from federal employees. Most notable, Brown was the first African American Woman to campaign for the position of Mayor, City of Cleveland 2005 and 2009. As a Licensed Social Worker, she challenged many "systems" in an effort of improving resources for the general welfare of the community at large. Moreso, to speak out against any and all unethical and discriminatory practices. In June of 2007 Brown developed a step by step plan on saving the City of Cleveland from “Thug Culture” which was featured in the Cleveland Plain Dealer Newspaper.  In February of 08' Brown challenged the Cleveland Public School District's East Technical High School in reference to the media exposed case of 11th grader Johnathan Douthard. Mr. Douthard was repeatedly beaten by a gang of teens and Brown step in to aid the family in dealing with unethical practices of this administration. In March 2008, Brown reached out to Mr. John White and Family of Miller Place New York regarding the national profile case 'The Miller Place Shooting". Brown traveled to Long Island New York and served as Coordinator of Engagements for the Northern Ohio Region. Inaddition, The Rotary Club of the City of Cleveland (2008) donated 500 dictionaries in Kimberly F. Brown’s name to fifth graders of the Cleveland Municipal School District because of her excellent leadership abilities within this region . Most recently, Brown was the guest "Keynote Speaker" at Success Technical High School Senior Awards Ceremony and Dinner following the tragic self inflicted shooting of student Asa Coons. Lastly, following the outrage of "Racial Disparity" in our Court Rooms (November 2008)- Brown developed a plan on how our court system and legal administration can be effective without being discriminatory. Brown clearly identifies with a quality assurance technique which allows open discovery and fairness to all - not just the selected, political or privilege few.
